A Fairy Tale

Part 2

November 24th, 2019

Time passed again and the two of them shared their lives in their own way.

That is they were flying over the seas and the lakes, over the woods and the mountains.

Side by side.

They enjoyed the beauty of the world. They could only see that!

But as seasons passed she could see clouds passing over his eyes.

She could feel his soul was tormented.

He never said anything. Not good with words.

However, she knew.

She always knew the truth but kept silence. Silence as magic.

Darker times came and he became ill.

Anxiety all over his mind!

His soul became heavy and couldn’t fly with her.

He pulled her down to his woods.

It was dark there.

 The thought came like lightning.

Then she knew what she had to do.

Let him go back to the depths of his lake.

To his kingdom.

His life.

And find peace again.

 His routine.

 Security of his previous life.

That’s what he needed.

She knew he would never make the decision by himself.

So she waited.

Thought again and again.

Happy when they were together, sad when she didn’t know where he was.

Then one day, winter came.

 Up in the North.

The God of the lake became more anxious and unsatisfied.

He became desperate!

Then the rains started.

 And more rains.

Cold rains.

And the winds.

Also cold.

Finally when the snow came, the lake froze.

The God got trapped in it.

At first he was sad. Very sad.

But soon he went back to his everyday life and felt calm.

Secure.

Safe.

He was able to control his life again!

The sea in the south, however, did not freeze. It was still warm and sunny down there. The goddess kept coming out of the depths.

More often now.

 Almost every night.

The nights with the full moon, the nights with the half moon or when it was like a slice of melon.
Also the nights when it vanished into the vast universe. Those nights were dark! She came out, sitting on the beach.

Alone.

No songs.

Only the stars, millions of them.

She didn’t cry.

She felt she had made the right thing.

It had to be done like this.

After that, only the memories lived.

The God of the lake and the Goddess of the sea were lost in the black Universe of Time.

A fairy tale

Part 1

…………….
………Then time passed and they lived a whole life without meeting again.
The goddess of the sea and the god of the lake.

However, twenty years later one night, the god of the lake heard some music and sadness came all over him.

It was a night with a full moon, when he and his men usually came up from the depths of the lake and went to the woods. To the woods, to run and dance.

This time, however, he didn’t feel like going up, so he didn’t follow his men but stayed there at the depths of the lake, alone.

It was then that she came to his mind!

He felt he would like to see her again.

Then he doubted, but quick as he was, he made up his mind to try to meet her.

So one night when there was no moon in the sky, he sent his message with the brightest star!

That night the light of the star glared so intensely on the surface of the sea, down there to the south that she woke up!

She hadn’t been out of the sea for ten years!

For ten whole years she stayed in the darkness, at the depths of the sea and it was only her girls who went up, to their beach to run and dance and laugh, every full moon!

But that autumnal star light was so bright that guided her to the surface of the water.

It was so powerful that almost blew her to the beach, where, at first, she stood petrified.

Soon, she calmed down by the beauty of the night star and slowly started a divine song!

Such beautiful singing, that the star took it to the skies.

 All over to the north!

When he heard the singing voice, he knew he really wanted to see her after all these years.

So riding the light of the star, he reached her beach!

They met, again. After all these years!

They were together!

Three full moons, three meetings!

They looked at each other and every sound vanished.

Every picture vanished.

 Just them two.

 United in the moonlight.

During their third meeting they both cried. They didn’t know why.

“It was always like this with us”, she said.

“I love you”, he said.

“I love you”, she said.

And they both went back to the depths of their waters.

Some days passed and they sent no messages to each other.

Silence. Dead silence.

No star, no light.

A desperate expectation.

A nothing.

This was the other side of their relationship.

Then images appeared:

An apricot tree with pebbles in a circle on the ground, around its trunk!

An old apple tree, which bloomed late but its apples were small and bitter!

A sea sunset through a ruined shelter!

A wooden northern house in the woods with small patches of gardens, with stones beautifully set and a sign saying, “Things are like this now, but we don’t know what will happen in the future”!!!
