Αν θέλεις να μάθεις...μπορείς να μάθεις

Ήταν οι δύο εκείνες αδερφές. Από τη Βίβλο. Πάντα τις σκεφτόμουν. Με θλίψη. Γιατί δεν ήθελα να το..παραδεχτώ. Η μία λέει, ήταν αυτή που συζητούσε με τον Ιησού. Η άλλη τους φρόντιζε. Τους πήγαινε το έστω λιτό φαγητό που ετοίμαζε. Τους πήγαινε το νερό. Φρόντιζε να κάθονται ωραία και καλά και να συζητάνε. Στα όμορφα που αυτή είχε υφάνει. Στα καθαρά που αυτή είχε καθαρίσει.

Ποιος θα μπορούσε να ξέρει αν της άρεσε αυτό;

Ήταν μήπως ερωτευμένη με τον Κύριο;

Αγαπούσε τόσο την αδερφή της, ώστε να θυσιάζεται;

Ήταν μήπως χαμηλής αντίληψης και της ήταν αρκετό αυτό που έκανε;

Μήπως όταν μεγάλωσε, μετά Χριστόν πλέον, πέρασε από το μυαλό της να γράψει όλα αυτά που άκουγε στις συζητήσεις;

Δεν θα μάθω , δεν θα μάθω ποτέ τι σκέφτονταν στ' αλήθεια.

Μπορώ όμως να φανταστώ.

Αλλά τότε δεν θα είναι το ίδιο πρόσωπο.

Θα είναι ένα δικό μου δημιούργημα.

Μα εγώ δεν ξέρω καν τη γλώσσα μου!

• Δεν πειράζει. Αν θέλεις πολύ να μάθεις τι σκέφτονταν, θα μάθεις.
  Μπορείς να μάθεις, αλήθεια.
• Δεν ξέρω αν έχω χρόνο.
• Όσο έχεις.

  I t was those two sisters. From the Bible. I always thought of them. With grief. Because I didn't want...to accept it. The one was the partner of Jesus in conversations. The other one was taking care of them. She carried the food, she had cooked, to them. She took them water. She took care of everything, so that they sit calm and peaceful to talk. Sit on the beautiful things she had woven. On the clean things she had washed. Who could really know, if she liked this? Was she in love with the Lord? Did she love her sister so much , that she had decided to sacrifice herself? Was she of low intelligence and felt satisfied with what she did? Did it pass her mind to write all the things she had heard in the conversations, after she grew older,in the A.D. years? I will never know, I will never know what she really thought. But I can imagine. Yes, but it won't be the same person then. It will be my own creature. But I don't even know my language.

  • Don't mind. If you want to find out what she really thought, you can do it. You can learn, really.
